Helpful Tips

Here are just some helpful things that a lot of players don't know about, but should know!

There's an interface of click-able buttons in the top left corner including an attack button, which allows you to fight an enemy in front of you without using any MP at all.

There's an inventory button (which tells you what's in your inventory) and four inventory slot buttons (the colored numbers) which you click to swap items from your inventory.

There are two small buttons on the left of the attack button, one that says "E" and the other that says "UE". The "E" button stands for "Equip" and clicking this button will equip whatever weapon you are holding as long as you are the right class (or had to pass through that class to get to the class you're at now).

There's an orange question mark sitting next to the equip buttons, and it's actually a button. If you click it, it'll tell you the next thing you have to do in the quest.

Once you reach level 5, you can change your class from Novice to one of five specialized classes by bumping into the Gryffon statue at the start of the dream.

If you became an archer and you can't find any arrows, you haven't looked hard enough. If you go into one of the towns, you'll find a furre wearing green named Losila who will fill you up to 50 FREE arrows every time you talk to her, and you can buy 50 more from her for 2 gil each after getting the free ones. You can buy as many as you want as long as you have money (although you should never buy more than 32,000 at a time, trust me!).

When using Ethers, each time you use a dose your mana will refill from wherever it's at to whatever your maximum MP is. For a few seconds after using an ether dose you will have infinite mana, allowing you to cast a few free spells and your spells that get stronger with higher amounts of MP will be positively affected as well. (A cleric can use an ether and then use the spell "Recovery" right after to heal over 30 HP with one cast!)

Every boss has a time limit, this is so that everyone waiting to fight the bosses can get a chance at them. If you're soloing the bosses, you should consider boosting your attack power to deal with the boss before the time limit is up.

Safe Zones are the areas where you slowly regain hp and cannot fight monsters (such as the area around the Gryffon statue, and the towns). You can also drop items in safe zones, and they won't disappear! (With the exception of inside houses, where items will mysteriously disappear on their own.)

Most items will disappear over time when dropped outside of a safe zone, but here are a few that wont! --
Antidote, Holy Water, Burn Heal

There are 3 bosses, and each will drop one random of five weapons--one that fits each class.

Walking into lava will not only hurt you, but you can get the status effect BURN from it! Burn will hurt you for 2 damage every time you click on a button, ouch.. The only way to escape it is by using a burn heal that is only sold in Montery Village.

The "Bomb" monster will sometimes explode when low on hp, so stay back!

The goal of the "Game of Death" is to fill the entire board with purple squares while fighting monsters at the same time. This can be tough, but a master can actually solve the puzzle in 14 simple moves. If you can get a pattern, you might have a better chance.

The 9 trials of Parallex's Fortress won't reset if at least one person is standing inside. This is a good opportunity for a friend to bring you extra supplies!

It is extremely difficult, but not quite impossible to defeat the final boss alone.
